Symbols are an integral part of all cultures. Turtles are said to represent longevity and are one of the oldest symbols to represent Mother Earth. The turtle is also symbolic in many Native American creation stories.

This sweet little turtle has been handcrafted using all-natural clay and hand-painted with a striking geometric pattern along its back using a yucca brush and all-natural pigments. The alternating section designs indicate rain and storm clouds bringing water to the Acoma people.
