Description

Beautiful tiny hand rolled shell heishi ends with a large natural turquoise cabochon  accented with a brown matrix.  This necklace is stunning in its simplicity. This heishi glides like silk through the fingers; it is so finely hand rolled. Heisi is very difficult to make – there is so much shell lost to the rolling process. It requires thousands of tiny pieces to hand roll enough heishi to create a beautiful strand such as this one. This is a true work of art and skilled craftmanship.

It woud look perfect worn with #1252, a single strand of hand rolled heishi. I believe the two were purchased at the same time, and made by the same artist as the heishi is the same size and has the same delicate smooth feel.

Condition: Excellent- original condition
Provenance: Maintained in my private family collection since purchased from the artist. (Both DR1242 and DR 1252 were purchased at the same time.
