This pot was purchased from Marie in her home at the pueblo by my great- grandmother. This highly polished pot, decorated with bear paw designs and other geometrics, was made by Marie and painted by Santana, her daughter. This was always one of my great-grandmother’s favorite pieces of pottery.
Condition: Fair- this pot was broken and put back together over 75 years ago by my great-grandmother. No other restoration has occurred; it is still structurally sound.
Provenance: Maintained in the same family gallery since it was purchased from the artist in her home at San Ildefonzo in 1943 by my great-grandmother.
