This is a lovely polychrome seed pot of red and black on buff geometric design symbols include corn, rain, leaves and clouds. Seed pots are used to store seeds to be planted in the spring. The symbols the artist has chosen to paint around the pot are offerings for good growing conditions and a bountiful harvest.

Condition:  Very good- with a small chip on the upper rim and a spall on the side
Provenance: Purchased from the artist in Santa Fe
