This dramatic ram is carved from a beautiful piece of Purisima stone, which is fossilized limestone. This particular piece of Purisima is abundant with numerous fossils, which adds to the character of the stone. Todd has beautifully enhanced the quality of the fossilized limestone through the structure of this magnificent ram. His horns include circles of fossils too.

This wonderful ram has an offering has an inlaid turquoise and sterling silver Zuni sun face on his back. Sheep are an important part of food for Zuni people. The ram may symbolize the fertility of increasing the herd for sustaining food for the people.
