This little bear is beautifully carved from a solid piece of natural Bisbee turquoise. He has inlaid coral eyes and a turquoise and coral offering bundle. This is a substantial bear.

The bear is the guardian fetish of the West. He represents strength and self-knowledge. He is a spiritual guide and carries within him supernatural powers. The bear is a powerful healing fetish

Condition: Excellent- original condition
Provenance: Purchased at the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture in Santa Fe with a COA attributing this gorgeous bear to Bernard Homer Sr.; other experts indicate this is probably made by his son instead due to the more intricate detailed carving.
