Description

This is a precious howling coyote carved from Picasso marble.

In the Zuni tradition, the coyote is a predator of the west and associated with the color blue. Considered a master trickster, the coyote is both a symbol of arrogance and self-importance. He can also teach us that our human impulsive natures and our self-centeredness often make our lives more difficult. The coyote is also associated with laughter, humor and foolishness.
