This is an incredible double sided carving of a fearless eagle holding a rattle snake in its claws. It is carved from Picasso marble with inlaid turquoise eyes. The snake has a turquoise eye and a coral tongue. This wonderful carving is very intricately detailed from the wings of the eagle to the scales of the rattle snake. Hudson Sandy’s carvings are always a delight and are highly collectible.

The Zuni associate the eagle with teaching, loyalty and integrity and believe the eagle is the spirit connection to the great divine.
