This wonderful little fellow is a young owlet, and has many lessons to learn before he is considered a wise old owl. His youth is represented by a smooth body without any feathers or symbols. He will earn these markings through his actions and the things he learns and grows.

The owl represents wisdom and an owl with many feathers truly is wise and has made good choices along life’s journey of daily challenges. According to the artist,” the feather often is given with prayer by the elders and society leaders of the tribe. The number of feathers received by one is the ultimate acknowledgement of a rewarding life of a people. Thus, the harmony of life is shown rather than spoken. Truly, one has earned his feathers along life’s journey of many daily challenges.”
