Description

This is beautifully stunning statement cuff is an interpretation of Native American values in nature for this piece honors the water, dragonflies and flowers. The sterling silver cuttlefish bone cast cuff terminates with a design reminiscent of kiva steps. The other side is slightly wider and flared at the end.

“I love the texture that cuttlefish bone casting creates and because Cuttlefish comes from the Sea, I love incorporating Red Coral and Pearls into my designs to connect their relationship as they all come from the Ocean waters,”  Althea states.   “Joe and I enjoy and get inspired from being out in nature.  These pieces are a collaboration, as Joe designed the dragonflies.”

The butterflies and the dragonflies, particularly for me, Althea continues, represent change (a metamorphosis). As we grow, our ideas and thoughts change and evolve to a higher understandings of Love.  And as these creatures of flight experience freedom, we too pursue our own life’s path and understanding of independence and yet we are still connected to source.
