Description

This high-quality vintage silver squash blossom necklace is absolutely beautiful. It features heavy handmade silver embossed beads created from old dimes. It is commonly called a “dime necklace”. Each of the eight blossoms is 1 7/8” long and spaced every three beads apart along the necklace. Each blossom is handmade from old dimes as well. The dimes are so old, they have lost most of their embossing due to age and wear. There is a gorgeous natural turquoise cabochon inside the top of the naja. It is quite stunning with exceptional craftsmanship.

Condition: Excellent – original condition with one bead’s solder undone near the neckline
Provenance: Purchased by a private collector from Texas, who purchased it as pawn in Santa Fe during the 1950s. Authenticated by Dayton Simmons, turquoise and silver expert
