Description

This cuff is a very striking overlay rug design made from copper and sterling silver.  The highly polished copper design pops against the sterling silver background creating a beautiful and unusual look.

The design is a traditional Navajo rug pattern in overlay work. The artist, Randy Hoskie, does exceptional overlay work with meticulous detail and care. His use of sterling silver and copper to create contrasting colors emphasizes the overlay design. This is a heavy substantial cuff weighing 114 grams.

Native Americans have been creating jewelry with copper and sterling silver since the 1870s. Copper was considered sacred by some Native American cultures and it continues to be used today.
