Marcella is well-known for her swirl style melon jars. This is a beautiful new style for her. This gorgeous flared rim jar is made in the traditional manner- hand coiled and stone polished. The shiny surface of the jar reflects the hours Marcella spent carefully polishing with a river stone. The design band carved into the upper body contains polychrome designs of clouds, rain and lightning painted with vegetal paints.

Marcella has competed in several juried shows, including most recently the Santa Fe Indian Market. She says that “pottery is the way of my life. I was raised to create beautiful works of art.” She is a very talented potter who continues to develop her talents and to produce beautiful pieces of art.
