Description
This is a very small stone polished redware jar that was coil formed in native clay over which was applied a red slip and was painstakingly burnished with a polishing stone. The design was achieved by applying a buff-colored matte slip around the upper portion of this tiny vessel. The jar is in good to fair condition, as some of the slip has been rubbed away. It is signed on the underside with the artisan’s name.
Condition: Good-fair; the buff slip is has rubbed off in some places around the rim
