Description

The little pot was probably made to be sold at the railroad station in Santa Fe to the tourists coming to New Mexico for a vacation or a trip to explore the West. Pieces were made small enough to slip into a suitcase to take back home.

It was made in the traditional manner and fired outdoors. Through the years much of the buff design slip has been rubbed off of the pot.

Condition: Fair- original condition
Provenance: Inherited from the family member who purchased this piece while on a trip to Santa Fe in the 1930s.
