Description

This is a finely woven rug of vegetal dyes and natural wool. It is a banded style with five separate bands of brown alternating with yellow. It is edge banded with red.  This nice old weaving is a Chinle style. It is very soft and pliable.

Condition: Fair to Good – original condition with a couple of small wear holes and very light stains. You can tell this rug was used, probably for wearing – it is so very soft and supple.
Provenance: Acquired from a gentleman in New Mexico.
