Description

This lovely tightly woven rug is striking in its design and color combination. The 43” x 32” weaving has been created using shades of brown, black, tan and cream. The weaving is beautifully balanced with repeated designs on each half. This beautiful rug has a weft is 44 and a warp of 8.

The Red Mesa style of weaving is typically characterized by a central repeating design, and then radiating from it in both directions is a pattern of serrated diamonds – usually created by using a light color paired with a darker color. The finished product is dramatic and shows the weaver’s incredible talent while transitioning from color to color.
