This beautiful piece was hand coiled, polished and painted by Martha Appleleaf, daughter of Carmelita Dunlap.  The green on black style has a wonderful, shiny polish that is breathtaking. Around the upper portion of the piece are designs that include traditional feathers and geometrics. Martha’s work is absolutely elegant and really sets a standard. The form, the design and the techniques used in creating this lustrous piece are as traditional as those used by her revered great-aunt, Maria. Rich in history and tradition, superb in design and execution, this is a noteworthy piece signed with her name and an apple.

Provenance: Acquired from a private collector in Utah.
